Gifts for COG Hill Farm

Gifts for COG Hill Farm

My husband Scott and I just love to watch the COG Hill Farm on YouTube. They are our favorite and we love them all ( Jason, Brooke, and Mary Carl, and all to their animals). I got the idea of making them some gifts and blessing them with them. I decided I'd make Jason and Brooke coffee mugs, since I like to make mugs and I wanted to make them something they could use since space is tight for them in their camper. I wanted to include their logo as well as some of their animals. When I started they didn't have Mildred, and I couldn't find a clear picture of Moody that truly caught his character. I did find a fun picture of Peaches, so she had to go on one since she's the boss lady of the yard. I had to also include Nugget but I had glaze issues and he didn't come out dark like I wanted. He was cute though so I went with it, cause like I've said pottery is a very unique thing. You just don't know what you'll get till the final firing. I think they turned out so cute.

Well for Mary Carl I wanted to do something else. I thought she wouldn't need a coffee mug, or at least that's what I thought. So I decided to make her a little rooster and wanted it to look like Tiny Tim. I love that little rooster and how when they go in his house he just goes to running and hopping around and talking and showing his women the food. I have chickens as well and see how a rooster will take care of his ladies. When feeding them and throwing out scratch the rooster will start talking to the ladies like he's saying over here, right here, come here, all while picking up some of the food and putting it down in front of them. I think her little rooster turned out really cute and I love to sculpt so I got to do some of that.

I used speckled clay for the COG Squad's gifts so Tiny Tim has speckles, but the real Tiny Tim doesn't. Everything was non toxic, food safe, and  I'm so glad they got there safely and in good shape. I love to decorate my boxes and usually double box to ensure mail safety lol.I loved watching them open my gift since I don't usually get to see the reactions of the people receiving them.  I appreciate any new customers that are sent my way. I love making custom one of a kind items so if you have a request let me know.
